Clearbrook Diwali Celebration
This year, Diwali is being celebrated around the world on Monday, October 20th. On Monday, October 20th we are celebrating Diwali at Clearbrook. Diwali is one of the biggest, brightest and most important festivals of India. Diwali is popularly known as the Festival of Lights. The celebration of Diwali as the "victory of good over evil" refers to the light of higher knowledge dispelling all ignorance. The word Diwali is derived from the Sanskrit term "Deepavali", which means "Rows of lamps". On November 20th our students will be doing some special Diwali activities such as clay lamp painting, exploring Diwali books and dancing. Our students are encouraged to wear their traditional outfits or bright colours on this day. Our students will also be getting an individually pre-packaged samosa treat that day, as a gift from our school.
