Parent Volunteers
INTERESTED IN BECOMING A PARENT VOLUNTEER?
Our school is always looking for parent volunteers to attend class field trips. First, you will need a Criminal Record Check as per below. Then, once you are approved, please check with your child's teacher if you are interested in helping with any upcoming field trips. Contact our office if you have any questions.
Criminal Record Check Process:
ANY volunteer working near or around children is required to have a criminal record check and vulnerable sector search (valid for 5 years) completed through the Ministry of Justice PRIOR to volunteering. This process applies to ALL volunteers regardless of of the amount of time spent volunteering.
If you are interested in becoming a parent volunteer or have any questions, please contact our school office and we will be more than happy to answer any questions you may have. Once you have been approved, we will provide you with a volunteer package to fill out. Forms need to be completed each school year with some every calendar year.
Please note: Volunteers will not be permitted to volunteer/work until HR receives their CRC clearance back from the Ministry of Justice and notifies the school if it is cleared or not.
