Rollerblading in PE

As part of our Elementary Physical Education Program at Clearbrook Elementary, we try to expose the students to many different physical activities.  This year our students will learn how to inline skate (roller blade) in gym. We are planning to have the Stardust Kids on Wheels Program come to Clearbrook Elementary from October 1st-16th.  Your child will receive several sessions of skating during this time. The skating will take place in our school gym.  All skates will be provided to the students.  Helmets are required and will also be available, however if your child has a helmet of their own (a bike helmet is o.k.), they are encouraged to bring it and use it during this time.  If your child already has knee and elbow pads they are welcome to bring them and use them during their inline skate time.  It is not expected that you go out and buy any.  For this activity, a fee will be charged to recover expenses for the instructor and the use of the equipment.
