Holi Celebration

Mar 14 2025, 1:45 - 2:30pm
Clearbrook Elementary

Holi, also known as a "Festival of Colours", is a South Asian holiday to celebrate Spring, love and new life. We will be celebrating Holi as a school the afternoon of Wednesday, March 4th. As part of our celebrations, we will be having an optional colour party outside in the afternoon!

Students are asked to wear old clothing (a light coloured shirt works best).

Students and staff will gather outside together on the field.

Each student will receive a bag of brightly coloured powder. The coloured power is non-toxic, eco-friendly, child safe, and mostly washes out of clothing.

Students are to throw the coloured powder in the air, becoming covered in bright colours, like a rainbow.

As this is a messy activity, a change of clothing will be necessary and parent permission is required. Students who do not have permission to participate in the colour party will have the opportunity to decorate the school grounds using sidewalk chalk.

Paper forms will be sent home to all students on February 17, 2026. Students must return a signed "yes" paper permission in order to participate in the colour party. Pleases return your child's form to your child's teacher asap, prior to March 4th.
